I'm back!

So, after two weeks away on holidays I am finally back! I thought it would be good to give you all an update on Ninja Pigeon's progress... so far I have had responses from just 3 of the publishers. Egmont Press seem to have moved so the whole pack was returned unopened, I will track down their new address and resend it! I got a letter from Bloomsbury books saying that unfortunately they were not able to accept submissions that had not come to them through an agent. They recommended a few agents and were very encouraging. Finally I received a nice letter from Andersen Press, they said the book was really beautiful and that we had done really well but they were not looking for books in our category at present. So, not too disheartening! And they all sent the copies back to me so I can send them out to somewhere else!

In other news I had a grand time in Russia and Iceland! Lots of adventures there and some thoughts forming for the Ninja Pigeon sequel!

Happy kids!!

The books seem to have mostly arrived with their new owners now! here are some adorable pics of Suzy's kids enjoying Ninja Pigeon! I've got to say I had a bit of an emotional moment when I saw these for the first time!!

More great sales!

I'm off to the post office again tomorrow, there are only 4 copies left now! 

Here is Mrs Yuen... just one of the happy recipients of a first edition!!! So far we have posted them to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Dublin, London and a few obscure places you may not have heard of like Medowie and Wyoming. It's exciting to think that kids all over the place are reading our book!!  

Signing the first editions!!

Today the first batch of books arrived, so Ash and I got right on it and signed them all! It was awesome to finally get them in our hot little hands!
